Being a celebrity may have its perks, but it also constantly puts you in the limelight, and sometimes this can happen during those not-so-great moments. Sometime strange things happen to celebrities, such as this funny post on celebrity toilets, and sometimes the celebrity is the one doing the strange thing.

No matter what celebrities you love to hate or hate to love, some of them have some strange stories to share. Check out some of these strange celebrity stories.

Christopher Walken

Christopher Walken is not just one of Hollywood’s most well-known and well-respected celebrities, but he is also an Internet meme sensation. However, while he has earned his place as a Hollywood elite, his young life was much different. Before striking it big as an actor, Walken traveled with the circus when he was 15 years old. His job? A lion tamer of course.

Steve Buscemi

Steve Buscemi has also earned his place among the Hollywood elite, but he wasn’t always driven to act. In fact, Buscemi spent 12 years as a New York City firefighter. In 2001, after the 9/11 attacks, Buscemi worked 12-hour shifts for a week helping his old squad look for victims and clean up the rubble. He declined interviews and photographs because he was just there to help, not as a publicity stunt.

Jerry Springer

Most people hear the name Jerry Springer and think of the popular daytime TV talk show host who was always in the middle of some family’s strange controversy. Fights and obscenities were a regular on the show, and people enjoyed watching the train wrecks that would come and go. However, before Springer landed his TV gig, he was actually the mayor of Cincinnati, having held the position in 1977.

Samuel L. Jackson

Samuel L. Jackson has played a variety of characters in his life, and some of these characters have gotten themselves into trouble. As a young kid, Jackson also got himself into trouble. While as a student at Morehouse College, Jackson and a few other students held a group of trustees hostage in order to get the school to change its governance and curriculum. What makes this story even stranger is that one of these trustees was Martin Luther King Sr. Jackson was suspended for his actions, but he dropped out instead.

Geena Davis

While the tall redhead may have stolen hearts as a baseball player in A League of their Own, baseball isn’t the sport that Davis excels at. Instead, she is an avid archer, and in 2000, she made it to the semifinals of the qualification round for the Olympics, placing 24 out of 300.
