Machete was an awesome fake trailer from Grindhouse. Then Rodriguez actually made the movie. So now it’s a real trailer!
4. 2012
Another massive CGI disaster-fest from Roland Emmerich (Independence Day – see #3). The movie sucked though. We wonder if there was a way to re-edit it so we only watched the cool parts. Oh wait, there is! It’s called the “trailer”!
3. Independence Day
We call this a “Holy Shit” trailer, because at the end of it, when aliens blow up the White House, you are going “Holy Shit!”

The awesomest teaser trailer in history, hands down.
