This Wall Street Journal article says that sales of Bud Lite are actually down 2.5% from the previous year. However, if you look at the chart, you’ll notice that the highest percentage increase in beer sales belongs to Natural Light, which is actually up 9.1%.
Sold by Anheuser-Busch, Natural Light is also known as Natty Light. It’s an economy brand 4.2% abv pale lager introduced in 1977 and is touted as the company’s “first reduced-calorie light beer.” The WSJ lists it as the 5th largest selling beer in the United States.
