Phoenix Maker Faire 2011 was a fair that took place very recently in Phoenix, Arizona, bringing together artists, scientists, inventors, and engineers who wanted to share their fascinating creations. Created with support from Maker Bench Tempe, Make Magazine, Craft Magazine, and others, the 2011 Phoenix Maker Faire had a lot of interesting inventions on display – robots, 3D printers, fire breathing metallic contraptions, special vehicles, and .. a Marshmallow Cannon.
Phoenix Maker Faire 2011 featured live music, giveaways, speakers, and general awesomeness. To us, it looks like a good Burning-Man vibe.
The maker faire was created by Make magazine back in April of 2006, which was held at the San Mateo Fairgrounds. It featured pavilions, exhibits, workshops, demos, and competitions. It has slowly built a following.
