By the way, Star Trek: The Motion Picture does not get enough credit. Its only weaknesses are an overlong shuttlepod sequence and the fact that it’s a rehash of an old TOS episode. Otherwise, it’s more ambitious and better looking (well, the Director’s Cut/Restored Edition) than any of the sequels.
