There’s a weird YouTube series of vids by a user named iamamiwhoami. The imagery features trees with moving human appendages, some kind of live birth in progress, a mud-smeared woman licking a tree, owls, a strawberry cake underwater, and a singing whale shark. What exactly is “I Am Am I Who Am I” ? Let’s watch three videos for clues :
There is much speculation about who might be behind these. The following artists have been named:
- Lady Gaga
- Goldfrapp
- Bjork
- The Knife
- MGMT
- Trent Reznor
- Aphex Twin
- Christina Aguilera
Speculation that it could be Christina Aguilera stems from news about her forthcoming album Bionic, which is supposed to be “futuristic.” However, her publicist denies that it’s her. Lady GaGa? Doubtful; not her sound. We think this isn’t beyond Trent. Time will tell.

Who are you?
Update
The artist behind the promo videos for I Am Am I Who Am I has been revealed. She is Swedish singer Jonna Lee. Probably. A look at three of her full-length videos seems to confirm that:
