An artist named Till Krautkramer has created a fake product called MeatWater that has become popular on the net lately.
We first heard of this story through Ripleys Blog. MeatWater is like a takeoff on VitaminWater, except the water has these delicious flavors to enjoy:
- Chicken Salad
- BBQ Wings
- Peking Duck
- Caribbean Shrimp Salad
- Bangers & Mash
.. you get the idea.
Till Krautkramer invented the concept of MeatWater a few years back and showed it in places like Brooklyn’s 303 Grand.
There’s even a fake commercial for MeatWater that features a pig being sliced in half and the guts being liquified and poured into MeatWater bottles. You can watch that video below, but we recommend that the easily offended not click the play button.
Again: Don’t watch this if you don’t want to see what goes on in a meat processing plant.
The comments on the video are very funny – most people don’t realize it’s a joke.
Read the FAQ from the DinnerInABottle website. Some choice quotes:
MeatWater provides the essence of nutrition and the memory of dining without the hassle of eating. Professionals need ruthless efficiency to thrive in today’s busy marketplace. People don’t have time to google, walk their dogs, or stop their workflow simply to take in a meal. Successful people today are demanding the next generation of efficiency and luxury, and our innovative lifetool provides that for such an elite consumer
We believe in choice. As food scientists, we have learned that at a quantum level it becomes increasingly difficult to differentiate between liquid and solid. Therefor, we believe that each individual should be able to make that choice for themselves, based on their own identity, and without interference

In the meantime, if you actually come across a bottle of meatwater, we suggest not drinking it.
