Thrills Over 30 – 6 Things That You Should Consider Replacing

posted by wpaff

Getting older can be daunting, but there are a number of benefits.

One of the major benefits of getting on in life is being more financially stable. All those years of hard work are probably beginning to pay off by the time you get to 30, therefore you can afford to treat yourself every now and again.

Below are six of life’s luxuries that you should consider upgrading or replace after you’ve hit the big 3 0.

Car

Before now, you’ve probably had to make do with a cheap runaround that could get you from A to B. However, as you get a little older, you should consider investing in a better quality vehicle. Companies such as Cars and Co make it easier than ever to find the car of your dreams and without breaking the bank.

Mattress

We all know how important it is to get a good night’s sleep and this is no different as we get older. If you aim to get a solid eight hours each and every night, then you’ll understand just how much spend we spend in our beds throughout our lifetime. Whilst we’re in bed our mattress needs to provide our bodies with the correct support. Not having this support can lead to bad posture and aching bones later on in life. There are also a number of other benefits of buying a new mattress such as feeling happier, revitalised and more productive during the day.

Wardrobe

By the time you reach the ripe old age of 30, you’ve probably grasped your unique sense of style and preferred types of clothing. This is why it’s essential to ensure that you’re grown up wardrobe reflects who you are today and not 5 to 10 years ago.

Throw out any items that no longer fit, or that you no longer wear and are just taking up valuable space inside your closet. Start with a few staple items that you feel reflect you as a person and begin building a perfect wardrobe around these items. Having clothing that you feel comfortable and confident in can really make a difference to your mood.

Playlist

The music you listen to is a completely personal choice, however, there’s nothing cool about a 30-year-old adult listening to the latest teenage boyband. Experiment with the type of music you listen to and see how different genres make you feel. Music has the power to completely change your mood and can be all you need to boost your spirits if you’re feeling at all negative. It’s also great to have a chilled out playlist on at home when entertaining guests or simply relaxing.

Fragrance

Nothing says you’re doing well in life more than having a mature signature scent that makes your stand out from the crowd. Many of us may not feel that very sweet or fruity scents that may have been our preferred choice in our twenties quite fit the bill anymore, so it may be time to update your fragrance collection.

If you’re in the market for a new fragrance but find nothing’s quite taken your fancy, find new scents that may contain similar fragrance notes to perfumes you have loved in the past. Many perfumes contain similar top notes or base notes yet smell completely unique due to the other ingredients they are mixed with.

Skincare

If your skincare regime has been pretty basic up to now, then it’s time for a change.

Once you hit 30 your skin requires more moisture and protection to keep it looking and feeling it’s best. 30 is also a great time to start with anti-ageing skincare as your collagen levels may begin to drop so may require cosmetics and skincare that help repair your skin.

Updating the above items should make the transition into your thirties a little bit easier. Embrace the fact you’re becoming more mature. We all change in one way or another over the years so there’s no reason why what we choose to surround ourselves with shouldn’t change with us.
