300 professional clowns from Mexico and Central America gathered in Mexico City for a 4 day “Mexican Clown Convention” which featured an event called Laugh for Peace.
“Laugh for Peace” turned out to be a 15 minute “laugh-a-thon”, where the clowns laughed and guffawed for 15 minutes straight. The idea is that more laughter in the world will mean less violence.
The rest of the convention was dedicated to improving clown skills, like jokes and making balloon figures.
