These French safe sex ads (from the organization called AIDES) are absolutely not safe for work. Unless you live in France, then you can probably show it to your 5 year old. Kids already drink wine in France, anyway, don’t they?
What is AIDES?
The name AIDES encompasses both the French word “aide” (support) and the English word “AIDS”. Created in 1984, AIDES is one of the most important European HIV/AIDS NGO’s. Its public health mission was recognized by the French government in 1990. AIDES directly supports persons living with HIV infection and their circle. AIDES informs all the public ones. AIDES warns the public institutions. Thanks to the mobilization of hundreds volunteers, AIDES fulfills effectively its mission in the field.

Spider sex: “Shocking” condom adverts
Source: The London Paper:
AIDES has created a series of posters depicting a couple making love – in which one of the pair is, unusually, a giant creepy-crawly. In one, a woman is seen getting seriously intimate with a massive spider. In another, a man is caught in flagrante with a scorpion the size of a grizzly bear, its poison sting inches from his back. The idea is to suggest that no matter how attractive your partner may be, they could have a STD bug of their own – one that could kill you as easily as any spider bite. The slogan for the adverts reads: “Without a condom you’re making love with Aids. Protect yourself.”

The Dick Campaign
AIDES launched a national summertime Aids prevention campaign directed at the general public. Our association’s prevention messages was delivered by the character Dick. Audacious and amazing, Dick is also a pleasant mouthpiece for some truths that people urgently need to be reminded of.

2007 Summer Prevention Campaign
Summer is the time when everything can happen even the improbable, the campaign said that the main thing is to protect themselves. The visuals feature animals and insects mating between different species with the idea that novelty, lightness and fun go hand in hand with protection.

2002 Prevention Campaign
It is not a public campaign but a campaign created to be displayed only in toilets of bars and nightclubs. It seemed more appropriate to decline the message depending on the place of posting: The female in the male toilets of bars and clubs. The male toilets in women and in gay bars and clubs.
