Teacher’s Aide Resignes After Her Nude Photo Goes Viral

A Bangor Area School District teacher’s aide who’s nude photo has been circulating among the student population resigned Wednesday after school officials asked her to. Someone took the young woman’s cell phone, which had a naked picture of her on it, while she was at a social function off school property (Bangor Area High School) and then forwarded the photo to everyone on the aide’s contact list, school board member Ron Angle. The photo was then distributed to students. District officials notified parents of the situation in an automated phone message, asking the parents of student in grades 7 and up to check their kids’ cell phones for the image.

A teacher’s aide in Northampton County is in hot water after a nude photo of her circulated throughout the school district.

The teacher’s aide in question works at Bangor Area High School in Bangor, Pennsylvania.

Teenagers in the school district told Eyewitness News that the cell phone picture has reached hundreds of students.

School officials do not believe the woman intentionally distributed the racy image to students.

A district investigation revealed that the photo was likely leaked by a third-party who gained access to her phone. Those who received the photo believe the woman sent the nude image to an intended adult recipient, who later leaked the photo.

The picture was taken off of school grounds, officials said.

School officials sent automated phone messages to all parents of students at the high school and middle school warning them that the picture could potentially be on their child’s phone.

District officials, citing a “lapse of judgment,” have asked the teacher’s aide to resign.
