Teacher Brittni Colleps Busted For Sex With 5 Students

English teacher Brittni Colleps was busted for allegedly having sex with 5 students at her home in Arlington, Texas. The 27 year old teacher at Kennedale High School, who also coached girls basketball, has a husband that is serving in the military (currently deployed). Having hubby out of town made it easier to organize a group orgy at her house, which involved 5 high school students, all at least 18 years of age.

No word on where Brittni’s 3 children were during the event.

The reason why she was arrested, despite the fact that all the participants were legal adults, was because it’s a criminal offense for teachers to have sex with primary/secondary school students, no matter what age that student happens to be. It’s a second degree felony, and Colleps has been charged with 5 counts of “having an inappropriate relationship between student and teacher.” Prison terms ranging from 2 to 20 years are possible if she is found guilty.

Colleps has posted bail, and her husband has come home from the service to defend her.

Police said Brittni exchanged sexually-explicit messages and photos with the students. There is also cell phone video, apparently. It all started when a 19 year old told police that he got involved with Colleps, went to her house for some action, then got invited back. When he went back, he saw that there were four other students there. You can guess the rest.

“Coach” Colleps taught English IV and girls freshman basketball. She has a BA in English and an MA in Education. On her high school webpage, she says “This will be my first year teaching and coaching at Kennedale High School. I am excited about this school year, and I look forward to meeting everyone.” Indeed.

Update – August 16, 2012

Brittni Colleps is currently on trial this week. The cell phone video of group sex between her and the four students has been entered into evidence and has already been shown to the jury.

Brittni Colleps was was found guilty and sentenced to five years in prison. She was convicted of 16 counts of having improper relationships with students. Prosecutors said the group sex occurred while her children and husband were away. Her husband Christopher has admitted that the couple had engaged in group sex with other adults together, but he felt wronged by what she did with the students, but he was “working to forgive” her.
