32 year old gym teacher Stacy Schuler of Springboro, Ohio (near the Dayton area) was indicted on 16 counts of sexual battery and 3 counts of offenses involving underage persons. She has been accused of buying alcohol for and having sex with 5 of her students, mostly school football players.
In addition, there was some controversy surrounding Mason High assistant principal George Coates, who is alleged to have sent Schuler text messages with sexual images in them. Coates submitted a letter of resignation last month, saying it was due to “personal reasons.” Our guess is that Coates heard about Miss Schuler’s extracurricular activies with the team and wanted in on the action. Either that, or blackmail.
In her Health Education Philosophy as part of her application to work at Mason, Schuler wrote that she wanted to teach students about major risk factors for teenagers including “sexual behaviors that result in disease, STDs, and unwanted pregnancies.”
Well, when you want to teach something, giving concrete examples can help get the point across. It appears that Stacy Schuler chose the hands-on approach.

Stacy Schuler’s trial continues. A psychologist testified in court that Schuler was “insane” during her sex acts with teens, due to the combination of medications, medical conditions, and alcohol. Kenneth Manges said that her state of mind prevented her from comprehending the wrongfulness of her acts.
Manges testified that one of Schuler’s medical conditions, polycystic ovary disease, can cause increased sexual desire because it heightens testosterone. In addition, Schuler suffered from bipolar disorder and other conditions that, when combined with alcohol and a prescription, Zoloft, prevented her from discerning right from wrong.
Schuler, if convicted, faces decades in prison. She has pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity to 16 felony counts of sexual battery and 3 misdemeanor counts of giving alcohol to minors. She says that she has no memory of the supposed acts.
