A high school teacher who allegedly had sex with one of her students has been fired and charged with two felonies. White River High School physical education and health teacher Rebekah Todd is expected to be arraigned in Pierce County Superior Court June 15 on one count of first-degree sexual misconduct with a minor and one count of second-degree sexual misconduct with a minor. The alleged victim in the case is a 17-year-old football player. Todd is about 25.

The incident is not the first time Todd’s conduct has been the subject of attention. She was suspended for allegedly drinking with students at an off-campus graduation party last June, but was reinstated because there was no proof the incident occurred. She was suspended once again last December after showing a strip tease video to her female students. “It was very outrageous when we heard about his video. She actually showed this video as a reward for them doing well in her class,” said PTSA President Megan Hernandez.

The 17-year-old boy told investigators that Todd had sought out the encounter, driving by his workplace and text messaging him about how great he looked without a shirt.

Todd began teaching in 2004 at the age of 23 and was considered cool and hip by students at the school.

We bet she was.

Karen Patton – Yikes!

A former Wythe County teacher was convicted of three sex crimes on Monday afternoon. Karen Susan Patton entered no contest pleas in a Wytheville courtroom and a judge found her guilty. Patton was convicted of two counts of carnal knowledge and one count of non-forcible sodomy. The charges involve two different children who were once Patton’s students at Scott Memorial Middle School. Patton faces up to 25 years in prison and a more than $200,000 fine when she’s sentenced in June.

Patton resigned from her job as an English teacher and cheer-leading coach at Wytheville’s Scott Memorial Middle School in January 2006 after she was charged with having oral sex with a 13-year-old student. She was arrested after the boy’s parents discovered a letter she allegedly had written the boy and online instant messages and e-mails between them. Apparently, her screen name was hokie_patton. That’s hokey, alright.

Clay says this had changed his life at school. “Well at first it was all high fives and stuff like that. Yea a lot of my guy friends were, showed (me) a lot more respect I guess. And then as we got further into it, I mean, I lost a lot of friends I had at that school.” Clay added later in the interview that many of the teachers at the school have been very supportive.

    Dear Rebekah M. Todd,

I am a 8 year old boy interested in learning more about my dangling participles – can you help me? My pee pee keeps getting swollen when I see your picture – is that normal? Please help me explore the birds and bees.

  3. Diocletian102 says:

Hey, Jesus freaks, stop raping and marrying little children, and maybe we in the normal world would take you a little more seriously when you cry about how much you love those unborn fetuses. I’m starting to suspect you only want them to be born, so you can molest them. One more reason for us to cut you off the tax exempt welfare dole.

  4. Steve says:

Jesus is the example not his followers who are human and sinful… unlike you Diocletian102 right? Jesus never did the act or sanctioned the act but to you those facts are irrelevant. Jesus would forgive her if she sincerely asked to be forgiven and Jesus would help the child she has screwed up by her act but most likely the child has no concept of God or Jesus, they where thrown out of the schools years ago….and the schools have been getting better ever since! Columbine is a good example. God makes the rules we choose weather to follow them or not…we live with the consiquences.

    Fuck Jesus.
