6 Secrets of an Unforgettable Date

posted by Chris Valentine

The process of meeting someone and arranging to go on a date can be tricky enough but thankfully the internet has helped us all to connect that little bit easier. Here are our top tips on how to make it all worthwhile, creating an unforgettable date.

The one…of many!

Prior to your date ensure that you are not carried away with the excitement of it all, be realistic and review your expectations. Don’t put too much pressure on this date being ‘the one’, it can be your first of many whilst you enjoy journey as you go!

Dress Sense

Unfortunately people do judge a book by its cover; you just have to ensure that this book looks tempting enough to read. Be comfortable and confident in what you choose to wear, be yourself and dress suitably for the environment and venue you have chosen to meet.

Play Safe

Speaking of where to meet, play safe by opting to meet somewhere neutral for the both of you. Avoid DVDs at home, or watching a film at the cinema as this will make your date difficult to talk with. Keep things causal initially by going for a coffee, as this will also take the pressure off your decision of what to wear.

Mind Your Manners

Manners set your stall out early that you are here to impress, it says a lot about you. Arrive on time, don’t use your mobile during the date, watch your ‘p’s and ‘q’s and everything will be ok. Manners cost nothing, but they can say the most. Relax, be friendly and enjoy the time you have together.

Lighten Up

By keeping the conversation light you are not divulging into too many unknown territories. By all means find out about each other, but discussing hobbies, interests, travel, employment and so on will stop you treading on too many personal or sensitive toes. The digging deeper can come a few dates later when you are both more comfortable with each other, rather than discussing politics on the first date.

Relax and Enjoy

Sounds simple doesn’t it, but this really is the recipe to ensure you are both on the same wavelength and enjoy your flirt dating together. Dates are supposed to be fun, not nerve wracking experiences. Smile, laugh and be yourself, this will certainly leave a very positive mark on your date. Believe it or not it is possible to do both; enjoy your time together on the date as well as impressing your potential partner leaves you with plenty of room, and confidence for that second date question!
