Soul Damnation For Tweens

The ouija board that Hasbro has been selling since 1967 has pissed off some pro-life organizations because it now comes in “Hot Pink”, designed for girls 8 and up (you can buy it at Toys R Us). That upsets some people, because they say it opens up the poor girls to attacks on their very souls!

“There’s a spiritual reality to it and Hasbro is treating it as if it’s just a game,” said Stephen Phelan, communications director for Human Life International, which bills itself as the largest international pro-life organization and missionary worldwide. “It’s not Monopoly. It really is a dangerous spiritual game and for [Hasbro] to treat it as just another game is quite dishonest. All Christians should know, well everyone should, that it’s opening up a person to attack, spiritually. Christians shouldn’t use it.” Phelan also said: “…the Ouija board is actually is a portal to talk to spirits and it’s hard to get people to understand that until they actually do it. I don’t pretend to know how it works, but it actually does.”

The pink edition was previously available for $33.99 on Amazon. We notice none are currently available.

Hasbro officials say they have received a “couple of dozen” complaints following a recent report on the pink version.

Some of the complaints probably involve possible side-effects of using the Hot Pink Ouija, including, but not limited to:

  • Soul-sickness
  • Blindness from demonic visions
  • Projectile vomiting, head-spinning, speaking in tongues
  • Burnt flesh from hell-fire and limb-tearing by dark forces
  • Sudden, unexpected damnation of the game-player’s soul to Hades
  • Soreness, redness, or itching
