France’s Parliament passes law making it illegal to encourage “extreme thinness.” Combined with their levels of taxation, yes, you CAN no longer be either too rich or too thin.

Celebrities and fashion models have of late been skipping lunch in record numbers. Encouraging such thinness is now punishable by a fine that works out to about $71,000 USD, and three years in prison (where, we assume, the food will be fattening).
