Priscilla Ceballos Joins Club Libby Lie

From BBC News:

An essay that won a six-year-old girl tickets to a Hannah Montana concert has been exposed as a fake. The essay began with the line: “My daddy died this year in Iraq”.

Wanna know a secret? Promise not to tell…

Priscilla Ceballos authored an essay which she now admits is fake, stating that her six-year-old daughter’s father was taken out by a roadside bomb, and could she please have a pair of Hannah Montana tickets to ease the pain? Pink-and-prissy retailer Club Libby Lu happily awarded the tickets to the girl, but upon learning that the allegedly dead father Sgt. Jonathon Menjivar didn’t actually exist, they awarded the tickets to another girl (on whose story they presumably performed a background check this time).

It’s ok, kid. I’m sure Club Libby Lu still thinks you’re a Very Important Princess, even if your mom is a lying sack.
