I have two big time accounts with Serverfly and they are pulling the same crap with me- standard installs mind you of Wordpress and Coppermine are pulling their servers down- but if I am willing to fork over $70 per month I can do whatever I like on a dedicated server......FU! Am moving to another host who supposedly has load balancing technology so hopefully these issues will not recur....

Just an FYI - Sean Shehan sold his web hosting company to Trip, Inc. a year ago (the Salim name you mentioned is the new owner I believe) - since that time they appear to be putting it back together as old servers were being replaced with modern faster ones and reliablity had significantly increased before I closed my site and went onto other interestes. There were some rough spots that the new owners had to overcome as a lot of the equipment that the old edatarack had was overloaded - but the customer service got a lot better after the company was sold.

Impressive sleuthing.

Though not as shady as what you're describing here, I had an equally poor experience with StartLogic.com.

They should be added to this list, it's not worth saving a couple of bucks if the product is shit.

Anyways, thanks for the list. Good to know.
