Doctors in India have successfully operated on a 2-year-old girl born with four arms, four legs and extra internal organs. A team of around 30 medics removed what amounted to Lakshmi Tatma’s headless identical twin sister who was joined at the pelvis and who did not develop and separate properly in the womb - an extremely rare case. The headless “twin” had its own spinal column and kidney. “It went very well,” said Mamta Patil, a doctor involved in the surgery at Sparsh Hospital in Bangalore in south India.

Lakshmi

Lakshmi, named after the four-armed Hindu goddess of wealth, was expected to be in the operating theatre for 40 hours, but the surgery was over after 27. Lakshmi was born in a poverty-stricken region of Bihar, India - on the day devoted to the celebration of the four-armed Hindu deity Vishnu. Her mother Poonam Tatma said she believed her daughter was “a miracle, a reincarnation” of Vishnu.

Wiki’s entry for Lakshmi:

Lakshmi or Mahalakshmi is the Hindu goddess of wealth, fortune, love and beauty, the lotus flower and fertility. Representations of Lakshmi (or Shri) are found in Jain and Buddhist monuments, in addition to Hindu temples. Analogous to the Greek Aphrodite and Roman Venus - who also originated from the oceans - she is generally thought of as the personification of material fortune, beauty and prosperity. She is the consort of Vishnu and married or romanced his incarnations Rama (in her incarnation as Sita) and Krishna as Rukmini and the milkmaid Radha.

I am an astrologer and would be pleased to know the exact birthday of Lakshmi Tatma. She shall be born at the festival Varalakshmi Vratam 2005. So it must be on the 12 th of August, 2005. Am I right? Could you confirm this date? I need this information for a book I am just be busied with.

    Thanks in advance!
