It is not true when applied to Tibetan Mahayana Buddhism ("The Wide Path"), the sect which Singa Rinpoche represents. Mahayana Buddhists take the current conditions they find themsleves in, and try to transform it to remove suffering, and encourage Enlightenment. Singa is a priest who is bringing the ancient chants to the youth, and broadcasting powerful aspiration prayers of health and happiness to the world. Surely he does not deserve censure!
