I’ve had a ‘96 Rothschild and it was pretty fucking slick. But I’ve also been to Napa and Sonoma and indulged in various reserve goodies. Honestly, ya can’t go wrong with either at that level. It’s really only on the under-$20 side that Cali is far and away superior and the Bordeaux all tastes like it’s infused with antifreeze, IMO.
